Jan 11th: Reserved for a clever title.

Hi everybody!

So, I stayed up really late last night (how... ME of me). I had to get up early for my cousin's christening and woke up feeling like absolute crap. Didn't help that I went to bed with wet hair, which never fails to give me a painful stiff neck. Double crap.

It was over pretty quick. I ran into my ex's parents as I was leaving to go to the reception. I forgot that they go to that church. It was mad awkward. I haven't seen them since the break up two years ago, but it was still weird because I was the one who decided to call it quits. They asked me about school and told me about basically everything except him. Including his twin. Talk about an elephant in the room.

Once I jumped that hurdle, my family and I went to the reception. My aunt's sister Jill and her family were there, which was a surprise because they moved to Georgia a few years ago. I used babysit her two sons when they were TINY (and I was 15). I babysat so often, the older boy, Kevin, used to call me Mommy. Apparently, they are moving back in town. Kevin, who's now 7, actually remembers me and how I used to toss him in the air and help him be an airplane by carrying him and running around in circles (Don't worry, I was careful! Safety first, kids!) I was so touched I teared up, and I don't cry often. Now THAT is remarkable.

Anyway, Kevin was glued to my hip from the moment he saw me. He even insisted on eating with me instead of his family. We talked about animals (I work with them, more on that later). The kid knows his stuff. Anyway, someone put that kid in showbusiness. He's the most suave, charismatic little kid I've ever met. Smart too. He was like James Bond in a 7 year old body. He went up to my uncle, who was talking with my other relatives, slaps him on the back, and goes "Good one, Tom." Dude.

So here's me and the little guy and then me and two of my cousins, Catherine and Colleen.

Then I came home and cleared off the car (I didn't break the snow brush this time - woot!). We got a ton of snow last night... some fun pics:
